About the Department
Various central and state sponsored schemes are implemented through the District Rural Development Agency, Chandrapur office. The said office is an autonomous organization and is registered with the Hon’ble Charity Commissioner under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, Registration No. M.A.H.815/Chandrapur/81, dated 10th September 1981.
The schemes implemented by the District Rural Development System Office mainly include ambitious schemes like Swarnjayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana, Indira Awas Yojana, Watershed Development Programme etc. The work of implementing welfare schemes for the families below the poverty line in the district is done through this office. The District Rural Development System Office is committed to eradicating poverty and improving the standard of living of the families below the poverty line in rural areas.
